Preroll GFX:

I want to honor the almost 20 year history of Highlands. Something that feels classic and iconic while still current. A little more dressed up than previous prerolls and with typography that integrates our messaging into physical locations.

Our current form of the preroll has several different gfx integrations. All of them are unified in their branding but each has their own looks within it.

  • GFX Verse: 2:17-2:50. This is the section where we go full screen GFX and have a verse.

  • GFX Messaging and treated footage: 2:50-3:23. This is a section where we show evergreen highlands messaging. We stepped away from our “4 Things” for the last preroll towards the “Experience Life” theme.

  • Transitional Verse and messaging: 3:57-4:10. This piece has a super important roll in the preroll because it moves us from video into the photo and clapping section. A Verse and then the “4 Things” before everyone stands and starts clapping.

  • Flash Words: The whole last minute. A full screen piece of messaging that eventually builds into the ending cross. This is where we really get to drive home the 9positivity and uplifting messaging. We want people launching into worship with a sense of belonging no matter where they are in their life right now.

GFX Messaging:

We will have two main messaging sections in the new preroll. One being a footage driven one that is always in the preroll and one being a full mograph piece that is shorter and has a different version from week to week.

Piece 1:

City Shots from different campus locations with text nestled into and onto them. Shots of people getting baptized and text/messaging integrated into them. A section of the video where we don’t drop out of video but get to still use graphic messaging. A bit of a montage of our reach within the state. You’d see City Federal, Saturn V, Mobile Bay, the State Capitol, etc. all with text mingled in with them. I think here we integrate our evergreen Highlands messaging. Know God, Find Freedom, Make a difference, Discover Purpose. Or the longer form version of that we put on campus walls.

Piece 2:

This one is like the current one where we drop into a verse that is fully gfx. Again I want to stick with this classic look but we can be a little more modern in it’s execution because it drops out of footage here. I think something that still plays off of our reach across the state and our locations. Maps, iconic images of our state, and even physical campus representation. All with a verse that pertains to the messaging theme of that week.

Another idea for this mograph section would be a a 3d tunnel that we would be flying through with text and lights in the tunnel animated by us. This would be similar to the example below but less neon and party feeling.
